I got rid of my Ilco 024 because it wouldn't accommodate large remote head keys, this machine has more than enough room between the jaws.
It's built well, and so far the wheel is still sharp and cutting great, I haven't had to calibrate it since I've owned it.
It's used primarily for auto and residential, and I don't use it for high volume of keys. If you cut a large number of keys, I would consider a more robust machine like an Ilco 044HD or similar.
It doesn't take up a lot of space and my inverter doesn't even flinch when I turn it on. This machine was worth the money. (Posted on 1/26/2016) - Just what I neededReview by Bill

The manual feed is actually faster than most auto-feed types that I've used. The screw feed allows you to cut across the key in a consistant motion or give you positive control to do some odd cuts that an auto-feed system would just complicate. You can release the screw feed completely with a supplied allen wrench and use it as a totally manual machine, but I wouldn't do that. Don't ask me what odd cuts I might try to make on a key with this machine (LOL).
The motor is powerful and fairly quiet (as key machines go). Since I usually only cut a half dozen or so keys at a sitting, I've never noticed any heating or bogging down of the motor.
The jaws accomodate a pretty good range of key designs and lengths and everything is adjustable (if you have to change the cutter). My machine arrived already aligned, ready to use, and all of the keys I have cut (so far) are perfect.
It has a handle to carry it, a flip-up key / jaw alignment guide, and a motor driven burr bursh. This is a very full-feature machine for a manual side-cutter. There are less featured machines with well-known names on the market for a lot more money.
I was just intersted in buying a side cutting manual key machine that was powerful and accurate enough to make the key right the first time and occasionally make keys from my code key sets and to do a few special key cuts that I sometimes pull out of the air (LOL).
For me, this key machine is a winner and exactly what I wanted. I am glad I selected it. (Posted on 11/23/2015) - Nice machine. Review by John
