We recommend using the number and letter stamps which we offer through this website but made by HPC (HCF-18 & HCF-322).
The HPC Stamp Aligner™ solves the problems locksmiths have always had while stamping numbers on keys. Crooked numbers, stamps flying across the room, and numbers that go up, down, and all around are now things of the past. The Stamp Aligner™ holds the stamps so that figures may be stamped on keys in a straight line with even spacing between characters. The key stamp aligner has 7 detents to stamp up to 7 characters and 3 rows evenly on a standard key.
A key is placed onto the bottom part of the Stamp Aligner™ and secured in place. The top part of the key stamp aligner is moved into one of the spacing indexes. The stamp is placed into the square hole, over the spot where the key is to be stamped. The stamp is held securely in place for it to be struck by a hammer. Spacing is clearly defined by a spring-loaded detent built into the key stamp aligner. Each character stamped on the key will be straight, spaced evenly, and aligned perfectly. When the stamps are all struck with the same force, the result is a key that looks like it was factory stamped. Letter and Figure Stamps are sold separately.

I just used the stamp aligner today for 90 keys. It took me very short time and the result is perfect. Once you learn how to use it it will get faster . Don't forget to add the proper stamps to fit.

I have four sets of letter and number stamps with 1/4" dimensions. NONE of them fit the SA-7. The square hole on the SA-7 is a bit smaller than 0.250" on a side.
My stamps measure anywhere from 0.250" to 0.252" and they won't fit in the SA-7.
I will have to disassemble this product and enlarge the hole just a bit.
With several hundred dollars invested in metal stamps, I was very disappointed that none of them work.
